What does "Display Update in Timeline" signify?

iPresent Online grants instructors the option to allow which information they choose to upload become visible for all students. For example, if an instructor were to upload a new quiz, they can choose to display the update in the “Timeline” simply by choosing yes.

The “Timeline” can be viewed at the home page under the “Recent Activity” section. Whenever you add material to your course, you will have the option to “Display Update in Timeline” which is located at the bottom of the page in each respective section.  When choosing yes, students will receive an email notifying them of an update of activity based on their individual account preferences. On the flipside, when choosing no, students will not receive an email and the update of activity will not be posted on the homepage.

  1. When you choose to “Display Update in Timeline”, there will be an update posted under “Recent Activity” on the course homepage. This is an ideal option when posting new material such as quizzes, presentations, or assignments.

To not “Display an Update in Timeline”:

  1. When you choose not to “Display Update in Timeline”, there will not be an update posted under “Recent Activity” on the course homepage. This is an ideal option when making minor changes.
