For instructors wanting to engage in online discussions about their course, they can create a “Course Forum” where students will be able to discuss material amongst their peers. With forums, instructors, as well as students, can see how many times a topic has been visited. Forums can also track how many posts were made about a certain topic as well as tracking when posts were created.  

To create a “Course Forum, follow these simple steps:

1. On the main “Edit Course Page”, click on the icon labeled “Create a New Course Forum” located on the right hand of the screen.
2. Upon clicking on the icon, you will be directed to a page to create a title and provide a description for the forum.

1. Fill in the appropriate fields to create a course forum.
2. You will have the option to display the update in the “Timeline”.
