Can I have certain quiz questions weighted (or valued differently) than other questions?

Yes, iPresent Online allows instructors to weigh questions based on the level of difficulty with a few simple steps. For example, if an instructor had created a quiz worth a total of one hundred points, the normal distribution of points per question would be ten points. But, if a teacher has decided that some of the questions in the quiz appear to be more challenging than the others, the instructor can alter the weight per question. The instructor can easily choose the weight given per question. The iPresent Online system will automatically adjust the weighted score the instructor assigns and links it to the passing score.

To weigh questions differently than others, follow these steps:

  1. In your course home page, click on the certain quiz you would like to edit.
  2. Once you have clicked on your quiz, in this instance “Chapter 1 Quiz”, click on “5 Questions” or however many questions you have created. This will be located in parentheses located underneath “Edit Quiz for”.
  3. Once you have clicked on the number of questions for your desired quiz, you will be directed to a page with the entirety of the quiz.

  4. Then, click on “Edit” on any one of the questions you would like to edit.

  5. After clicking “Edit” on any one of the desired questions, click on “Settings”

  6. Upon clicking on “Settings”, you will be directed to a new window allowing you to assign a point value for each specific question.
  7. To save changes when assigning values, click on “Save Question”.
